UPTOWN SATURDAY NIGHT!

Hit the street on Uptown Saturday Night, when San Marco Avenue comes alive! Uptown Saturday Night takes place from 5 to 9 p.m. during the last Saturday of each month, between the Mission and Ripleys.  Art Galleries, Antique shops, Book stores, Clothing boutiques, and various other merchants extend their shopping hours.  Join in the  fun with refreshments, special guests, exhibits, music, and door prizes!  It is free to the public, and additional free parking is available at the Mission of Nombre de Dios.

TEA TIME!

Special guest and Certified Tea Lecturer Barbara Huber, serves tea from 5:30 to 8:30 pm.  Guests sample several freshly brewed teas during ''Tea Time'!  Also on view, antique teapots, tea cozies, tea accessories, traditional tea sets for children and a selection of tea party etiquette books.

BOOK SIGNING!

 Noted author, Gary Monroe told the story behind the Highwaymen during his book signing events.

 Harp Music! 

Dr. Diane Schneider, J.D., Ph.D played music from her "Harp of Hope Animal Therapy Edition".  She spoke about this therapeutically sequenced harp music intended for use in veterinary practices, and by those who live with or care for animals.  The calming effect of this music reduces  symptoms such as agitation, fear, restlessness, sleeplessness, tension, and high blood pressure.

TRUNK SHOW!

Fashion Designer, Sally Jan presented her new clothing line, 'Vintage Chic'.  Dresses, skirts, jackets and tunics all created using vintage fabric, trim and embroidered items.  A beautiful and creative way to repurpose, old tablecloths, runners, doilies, ribbon and buttons!

Bakelite!

Stephanie Lewis, the 'Queen of Bakelite' spoke about the history of Bakelite, identification, and appraisals.
